In Shadi and Desmond's own words, here's their story.

How did you meet?

We met via Tinder in 2014, and we started to date, I asked Shadi to marry me in Negril Jamaica in January 2015; it was a beautiful scene the sun was setting a deep hue of red, an old friend of mine was in the mosque reciting his nightly prayers it was very melodic the sea was gently crashing against the rocks and I asked Shadi to marry me which she obviously agreed too.

How long did you plan your wedding?

The wedding was originally planned for Sweden but costs and logistics made us switch to Manchester the whole thing took about 2 to 3 months the actual planning was probably around 2 months!

What made you choose The Castlefields Rooms your wedding venue?

We've been to a wedding there before it was well planned and organised, we loved the location, gorgeous by the canal, the room with the wooden beams, and ease of access for everyone and it being within our budget helped too.

What was your favourite part of your wedding day?

Des said: My favourite part was seeing my wife to be arrive and how stunning she looked, I was overcome with emotion.

Shadi said: My favourite part was when I saw him waiting for me, all the butterflies in my tummy disappeared and I couldn't wait to stand next to him and say I do.

It was lovely to see all of our friends and families there, celebrating the night away.

What was your first dance song?

The first dance was a song by Stevie Wonder - "Knocks me off my feet"

A very beautiful song!
